4 and 1 half cups of sugar
1 can carnation cream (2 cups)
2 sticks oleo margarine (I use 1)
Bring to a boil (low heat in a heavy pot)
Boil 9 minutes stired to soft ball stage
Remove from stove
Beat in 3 packs semi-sweet chocolate bits
Add in 1 pint jar of marshmellow whip
Beat about 3 minutes or until it begans to thicken
Place in a pan and cut it in squares when it hardens

Given to me by my mother, Mrs. Ernest Johnson, who got
it from Mrs. Everett Rogers of Yukon, W. Va. in 1952

I've wanted to try a receipe something akin to this before but I couldn't get past all the effort and just ate the chocolate bits out of the bag. I think I'll have to give it another go.

Sweet cream, why not. I made pumpkin pies one Thanksgiving and didn't have sweet cream so I used regular instead and didn't put any sugar in it. Blaaah! Took a lot of Cool Whip to get it down.
