Dear Ship Mates;

Since I have been involved in both reunions West of the Mississippi, I will begin working on one in Seattle with Bob Terhune. Bob lives in Olympia, WA about 70 miles south of Seattle. Western Washington is America's Switzerland with even taller mountains. If it doesn't work in 2014, we can do it later. Anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma Area want to join Bob and I and host it ?

Seattle has a great choice of outlying locations with reasonable hotel prices. There is excellent air access and an amazing variety of interesting sights to visit. Snoqualmie Falls (twice as high as Niagara) , Mount Rainier with 14 glaciers, lunch at the Space Needle, The Boeing Aircraft Museum, the ferry to Bremerton Naval Ship Yard and the Nuclear Submarine Base, Cruising the San Juan Islands, visit Victoria, BC..............to name a few.

Seattle is also a great "jumping off " location for inexpensive Alaska cruise vacations. About $500.00 buys a week's cruise on the Inside Passage on a 3 0r 4 star cruise ship. If you combine a cruise, your airfare can be greatly reduced.

I will conract Bob and get a proposed itinerary together for the crew's approval.

Calm Seas and Quartering Wind.............Jim

Save this date, second week of August, 2014, for a Pacific Northwest reunion.

Pending crew approval, Bob and Shirley Terhune and Dee and Jim Goodspeed will host a reunion in the Seattle/Tacome Area. A venue is being sought and tours planned to Seattle for lunch atop the Space Needle, the Boeing Museum of Future Flight, Pike Place Market, the original Starbucks, Mount St. Helens, Lewis and Clark's Columbia River site, Blake Island Slalish Longhouse salmon bake, Bremerton NSY and Nuclear Submarine Delta Pier.

Put some extra money in your sock, an after reunion Alaskan Cruise will be offered at deep discount, group rates. We are negotiating with Norwegian Cruise Lines for a block of balcony staterooms with discount air fares. This will be your best Inside Passage cruise value.

These quality reunion events require long lead time planning and we encourage you to save the date and join us for a once in a lifetime adventure to America's Switzerland.

Regards.........................................Jim
